Travel to Bhutan during Tshechus
Tshechus is the most important festival of Bhutan. People dance with special masks to celebrate the festival, which usually lasts for four to five days. On the last day, a huge Thangka will be displayed. People who see this scene are thought to accumulate fortunes and wash away sins. The time to hold Tshechus varies in different cities. The most famous one is Thimphu Tshechus held in September or October. Before travelling to Bhutan, you can search if there are any celebrations of Tshechus. If there are, you should arrange tickets and hotels in advance in case of too many visitors in the country.
