Day 1: Entry Halifax/Baddeck
Upon arrival in Halifax, be transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day is free on your own.

Day 2: Halifax - South Shore (35 miles / 217.2 km)
Today venture south to famous Peggy’s Cove, and on via Mahone Bay to colorful Lunenburg. Tonight stay in the South Shore region.

Day 3: Halifax/Sherbrooke Villaage/Baddeck
Visit the Fishermans Life Museum, stop by the Sherbrooke Village and reach the Cape Breton Island. As the end of the day, head to Baddeck, on the shores of Bras dOr Lake. Have an overnight stay at the local hotel.

Day 4: Wolfville - Amherst (155 miles / 249.4 km)
Travel the shores of the Minas Basin, through small communities, across the Avon River towards Truro, then further north to Amherst where you spend the night. Little villages along the way illustrate the way locals live in this area.

Day 5: Baddeck/Wood Island Ferry/Charlotte-Town
Drive via Antigonish to the Pictou town and head to Prince Edward Island. Taking along the stunning scenery along the way and reach Charlottetown at the end of the day.

Day 6: Moncton - Charlottetown (180 miles / 289.6 km)
Travel from Moncton to Jourimain where the 12.9 km long Confederation Bridge is built. This is the only land connection between the mainland and Prince Edward Island (PEI), and also the longest bridge over ice-covered waters in the world. Today we visit the land of Anne of Green Gables. Fall in love with this island, which is known as potato growing country. But PEI has a lot more to offer. Overnight in Charlottetown.

Day 7: Charlottetown/Moncton
On the way to New Brunswick, have a glimpse of the amazing Confederation Bridge. Then Stop at Shediac Bay for a short lobster visit. In the afternoon, visit the Oliver Soapery and reach Moncton to stay overnight.

Day 8: Charlottetown - Baddock (180 miles / 289.6 km)
From Wood Island take the ferry back to Nova Scotia. Just on the other side is Pictou. It was settled in 1773 by the Scottish Highlanders, and this historic town built a replica of the first ship that brought these settlers. From there, drive to Cape Breton Island and the town of Baddeck, perfect starting point for the Cabot Trail the next day. A famous resident of this area was Alexander Bell.

Day 9: Baddeck - Sydney - Baddock (185 miles / 297.7 km)
A famous drive today, the Cabot Trail. Start off by traveling to the Margaree Valley, where the waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence meet at Margaree Harbour. From there, make the famous loop and stop for beautiful views that appear around every corner. On the Atlantic side, see windswept beaches and small fishing communities. After the Cabot Trail travel to Sydney, the Steel City. Overnight in Baddeck.

Day 10: Baddock - Antigonish (155 miles / 249.4 km)
Today travel south. Visit Louisburg, the largest historic restoration project in Canada. Travel along the shoreline of Bras D’Or Lake. This saltwater lake is in reality an arm of the ocean and a great feeding ground for bald eagles.

Day 11: Antigonish - Halifax (255 miles / 410.3 km)
A visit to Sherbrooke restored historical village will delight you. This village is a replica from the 1860-80 period, complete with costumed guides. Then it’s back to Halifax for one more night. Make sure to visit some of the local pubs filled with the local music, a sure way to have a happy ending on this Atlantic Canada tour!

Day 12: Exit Halifax
Return your rental car to Halifax Airport prior to your return flight. End of your happy trip.
