Day 01: Visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Mutianyu Great Wall
7:00 Hotel Pick-up
Welcome to join our 2 days Beijing mini group tour. We will inform you of the specific pick-up time one day in advance. Please arrive at the lobby five minutes earlier than the agreed time. Your guide will pick you up and then take you to meet with other group members. If you do not receive any pick-up information before 20:00 the previous day, please do contact your travel consultant.

8:00 Visit Tiananmen Square & the Forbidden City
You will be guided to Tiananmen Square first, then walk through the square to the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City. We will book the entrance tickets online beforehand, and you can follow your guide to enter the grandest palace complex directly. The Forbidden City is one of the largest and best-preserved wooden structures in the world with a history of over 600 years. It is marvelous with spectacular palaces, beautiful garden and numerous valuable relics from all dynasties. You will visit the important palaces, including the Hall of Supreme Harmony, Hall of Preserved Harmony, Palace of Heavenly Purity, and then leave from the Gate of Divine Prowess. You will spend about 3 hours at Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.

11:30 Drive to the Great Wall & Free Time for Lunch
After that, we will drive for about 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall. In order to leave you more time on the Wall, today's lunch is not included. There are many restaurants near the site. You can try simple Chinese food, like dumplings, noodles and rice, or Western fast food at Burger King or Subway. You may eat there or take it away. Your guide will offer you some helpful advice.

13:30 Visit the Mutianyu Great Wall
Mutianyu Great Wall, which is majestic with charming scenery, is the longest section of the Great Wall in China. It is attractive for the high vegetation coverage, peculiar passes, intensive watch towers and distinctive crenels on both sides. The most beautiful part of the Mutianyu Great Wall is in the No. 17, 18, 19 and 20 watch towers. You have 3 ways to go up to the great wall, and after arriving, you may hike east to appreciate the spectacular views along the way. You will have 2-3 hours hiking on the wall. Twi ways going up and down the Mutianyu Great Wall • On Foot: Young people who love mountain climbing can choose to walk up and down the Great Wall. It takes about 30 minutes for a single trip with about 500 steps. There are two entrances to reach the No.6, 8 or 10 watch tower. You may ask your guide for more details. |
16:30 Drive back to Downtown
Then, we will drive back to downtown Beijing. On the way, you could have a rest to prepare for the next attraction or talk with your guide about your wonderful tour. |
18:00 Houhai Bar Street & Tobacco Pipe Lane (Yandai Xiejie) or Hotel Drop-off
The last stop today is Houhai Bar Street and Tobacco Pipe Lane (Yandai Xiejie), the oldest commercial street of Beijing. The stone alleyways in the traditional style, abundant bars, snack shops, and souvenir stores will enable you to enjoy the amazing nightlife of Beijing. If you are interesting in exploring this area, we will drop you off there and you get back to the hotel by yourself; if not, we will drive you back to the hotel.

Day 02: Visit Temple of Heaven, Hutong Alleys, Lama Temple, Summer Palace
8:00 Hotel Pick-up
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel.

9:00 Visit the Temple of Heaven
The first stop today is the Temple of Heaven, a solemn royal place to worship the Heaven and pray for harvest in the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911 AD). These activities were extremely important in ancient times and were held by the emperors generally. The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is the main structure of the Temple of Heaven and the emperors ever held ceremonies here each year. |
11:00 Hutong Rickshaw Tour & Free Time for Lunch
After that, you will take a rickshaw to explore the old Hutongs in Shichahai and visit a local family. There are quite a few popular restaurants with various snacks at Hutongs, therefore, you will have some free time to choose your preferred local foods for lunch. Your guide will provide some suggestions if needed.

13:30 Visit the Lama Temple
The next stop is the Lama Temple. Used to be the private mansion of the emperor Yongzheng when he was a prince, it is now the biggest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Beijing, attracting people by its elaborate archways and grand halls which are in ancient beauty.

15:00 Visit the Summer Palace
Then we will drive to the Summer Palace, which ranks No. 1 out of the best-known classical gardens in China. It is composed of the three parts: the political zone with the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity, the living zone for the imperial family with the Hall of Jade Ripples and the Hall of Joyful Longevity, and the scenic zone with the Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. Take your time to enjoy a leisure walk in the Summer Palace and soak up its charming views.

17:30 Hotel Drop-off
