The city of Memphis was and still occupies the first place in terms of its importance compared to the rest of the other ancient Egyptian cities, specifically on the northern and southern sides. It was founded during the reign of King Mina. He is the main founder of the First Family, and its rule was during the period between 3150-3000 BC. The goal of establishing this city was to unify the upper and lower sides of the state of Egypt, in order to make it subject to one leadership and control, and at the same time, to be a new national capital for Egypt. It remained in this case, until the Old Kingdom ended, and the succession of the first family until the eighth. Although the settlements that belonged to the royal family spread on the eastern banks of the Maadi region to the north, and on the southern side of Helwan, to this day, the settlements of the city have not been identified. The city of Memphis had an important role in various aspects, including the economic, political and religious aspects during the Egyptian historical period.
