WT-Ireland 03: 8 Days Trip of Ireland: Dublin - Sligo - Northern Ireland - Donegal - Limerick - Killarney - Tralee
Day
1: Arrival in IrelandOn the arrival of Dublin, the capital of Ireland, you will transfer to check in the hotel. Then you will visit the Dublin Castle, a storeroom for gold and silver of the King, which stand still though thousands of years had passed but the gold there have been gone. Later you will also pay a visit to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the largest one in Ireland, Trinity College, which was famous for its 1200-year-old Book of kells,and the Phoenix Park,etc.
Day 2: Dublin - Sligo
You will first pay a visit to Cistercian Abbey ruins in Boyle, then proceed to the town of Knock in County May which was regarded as the holy land to worship. And it is said that Virgin Mary had appeared in that town. Afterwards, Sligo will be the last stop of this day.
Day 3: Northern Ireland - Donegal
Today you will start from Donegal coast via Yeats country and arrive in Bundoran, from where you can enter Northern Ireland Autonomous Region. Here you are going to visit the Belleek Pottery Center. And then head to Enniskillen from Lough Erne.
Day 4: Sligo - Limerick
The first stop today is Galway, famous for its tourism and culture, which is said to be the landing point when Columbus discovered the America continent. A visit to Cliffs of Moher, the highest cliffs in Europe and also one of the most famous scenic spots in Ireland should be a must. Located on the most edge of Middle West Ireland, faced with the Atlantic Ocean, Cliffs Moher is famous for its uniqueness and dangerous. Near the highest point of the Cliffs, on the cape there stands the O’Brien’s Tower, which has been considered as the best point to enjoy the views for many centuries. Later you will transfer to Limerick.
Day 5: Limerick
Today you are going to pay a visit to Limerick, the largest city along the west coast of Ireland, which was famous for the movie by the script of Angelas Ashes. St. Marys Cathedral and King Johns Castle will be your destination. Then you will proceed to the Bunratty Folk Park, where you will get yourselves totally relaxed.
Day 6: Limerick - Killarney - Tralee
This morning you continue your journey to South until the arrival of Killarney. After visiting the towns and lakes, you will go across the MacGillycuddy Reeks and Ring of Kerry, which forms the most attractive route for tourists with access to the best scenery of Ireland and the coast of Atlantic Ocean.
Day 7: Tralee - Dublin
In the morning you will visit Blarney Castle which was built in 1446. It is one of the oldest and the most solid castles in Ireland and in which the most well-known spot is the Blarney Stone. There came a beautiful legend that once you kissed the stone, you would have a silver tongue. This is where the name of the castle came from. At the end of the visit, you will go back to Dublin.
Day 8: Departure from Ireland
After breakfast, you will go to the airport and then depart from Ireland by plane.
