In Nara, there are 2 railway stations: JR Nara and Kintetsu Nara, with 1 km (0.5 mi) far from each other. The major difference is that JR Nara serves JR train lines, while Kintetsu Nara Station operate Kintetsu railway lines. Sometimes, if you want to go to some cities from Nara by train, you can only depart from one of them. If you get to the wrong station, just take buses 118, 153, or 19 at the nearby bus stops and you can get to the other station in about 10 minutes.JR Nara Station

East and West Gate
From JR’s Nara’s East or West Gate, you can enter or exit the Station. Usually, there are more bus stops and taxis around East Gate.1st Floor: shopping and dining
On the 1st floor, there are mainly shops and restaurants. You can have meals or buy something you need.2nd Floor: Buying Tickets and Ticket Check-in
On the east side of 2nd Floor, there are ticket machines and ticket offices for travelers to buy train tickets. In addition, ticket gates are on the south side of this floor and you need to check-in here.3rd Floor: Train Platforms
