Kishiwada Danjiri Festival is the largest and most luxurious danjiri festival in Japan, held in mid-September each year in Kishiwada Castle. Danjiri is a huge handmade wooden car which weighs 4 tons. During this festival, more than 500 people carry the huge danjiri and rush in the narrow streets. The whole atmosphere is pretty exciting and visitors can be astonished by their passion. In addition, the detailed decoration of the danjiri is also worth appreciating. The whole danjiri is carved with historical figures, horses and other animals. What’s more, the danjiri is decorated with more than 200 lanterns.
