In December with high rainfall, more indoor activities are suggested. In Antsirabe renowned for its crystals, you can go to Grand Marché De Pierre, the most visited crystal market there, where you can see sparkling crystals and also rings, necklaces, brooches and more made of them.

3. Take a Hot Spring Bath in the “City of Water”

Antsirabe has the reputation of the “City of Water” by virtue of its abundant hot springs. In Les Thermes, a local hot spring bath center, hot spring pools are is in different temperatures and you can have diverse kinds of bath including a bubble bath and a mud bath. In rainy December, taking a hot spring bath can make you comfortable and fresh, and help to relieve stress and travel fatigue.

 Tip: You are suggested to start your bath in the pool with a lower temperature and then shift to the hotter one so that your body can gradually adapt to the hot spring water.
