In the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, the most impressive scenery is the steep stone forest landform. It’s highly suggested to visit the park on sunny days, since the dark-grey stone forest under clear and blue sky and brilliant sunshine is undoubtedly the best photo spot. Moreover, you can also view endemic animals such as lemurs and ring-tailed mongooses and explore underground caves.

What to Bring for Visiting Tsingy de Bemaraha

Clothes: Light and quick-dry summer outfits are recommended, and you can pack short-sleeved shirts, T-shirts, and shorts into your luggage. It’s not suggested to wear skirts or dresses because it’s inconvenient during your hiking in the national park. For possible cooler nights between June and August, you can consider carrying a thin jacket or a long-sleeved shirt.

Shoes: To make you comfortable during the hiking, you are suggested to wear breathable and sturdy sneakers, or you can choose protective hiking shoes for safer walking.

Other requisites:
(1) Heatstroke prevention items: To stay hydrated, it’s recommended to bring your water bottle. You can also carry a handheld fan to bring you more fresh air or wet tissues to wipe your sweat in time.
