Is there a strictly enforced dress code in Oman?
Long trousers are preferred and shorts are okay for men. Most of the people you will see on the streets will wear long pants. As for women, always keep your shoulders covered. This means no strapless shirt or dress and no spaghetti or thin straps. Long skirts and dresses are perfect! Not only are they super stylish at the moment, but they perfectly comply with the dress code as well as protecting you from the strong sunlight.
Are there any restrictions when taking photos in Oman?
Please remember to ask for the permission of the local people if you want to take a picture of them, particularly women. It is not allowed to take pictures of any military or police areas, ports, airports and embassies.

Are there any taboos during the Oman Trip?
Eating pork and drinking alcohol in public are forbidden in Oman. Please do not use your left hand when having meals there.
