What do I need to pack for my Romania tours?
It depends on the time of your trip to Romania since it has four seasons. In spring from March to May and fall from September to November, remember to take T-shirt, jacket, wind-breaker, sweater, jeans for it is warm in the daytime and cool in the morning and evening. In torrid summer from June to August, lightweight clothes are suggested, such as T-shirt, shorts, dress, skirt and sandals. To protect yourself from the extremely chill winter from December to February, you will need thermal wear, down garment, gloves, woolen hat and boots.
Is tipping customary in Romania?
Yes. In restaurants, common practice is to tip around 10% of the bill. For hotel service, it's standard to leave $1 ~ $2 (5~10 Lei) tip per day for housekeeping. For your guide or driver, tip is not expected, but tipping a few Lei each day to express your gratitude would be much appreciated.
