December to February: Chilly but Worthwhile Winter Experience

From December to February in winter, Uzbekistan sees cold and dry weather, with occasional snowfall. This season may be ideal for winter sports, but less appealing for tourists who prioritize comfort. 

Generally, snowfall occurs two to three times during these months, transforming mountain areas into scenic spots for skiing and other snow activities. However, it’s suggested that travelers check weather forecasts in advance to time their visit around snowfall for the best experience. Early sunsets and large indoor-outdoor temperature swings in winter require careful itinerary planning and layered clothing.
