Winter Visit - Chilly but Ideal for Ski Enthusiasts

Tashkent’s winter, from December to February, poses challenging conditions for most travelers, with temperatures ranging between -5 - 12℃ (23-53.6℉), accompanied by dry and cold winds. Occasional snowfall creates gloomy weather unsuitable for sightseeing. With the sun setting at around 5 PM, the season’s limited daytime further restricts outdoor activities. However, winter sports enthusiasts will find excellent skiing conditions at nearby resorts like Amirsoy, just 65 km (about 40 miles) from Tashkent, as well as Chimgan and Beldersay. Just remember to check the snow forecast in advance, as opening hours depend on snowfall amounts.
