Entertainment activities in Xian are also pretty colorful and have their characteristics to boast about. In the Tang Dynasty Dinner Show and Tang Paradise, you can have a full appreciation of the splendid dance and music performances of the prospering Tang Dynasty. The Northern Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda opens a beautiful music fountain that is said to be the largest in Asia . The popular local Shaanxi Opera (Qinqiang) can also be heard in some large theatres. Others like the regular KTV, pubs, teahouses, cafes and bowling alleys can also be easily found in Xian. To enjoy the modern entertainment involved in classical aura, please go to Defuxiang in the north of Xiangzimiao Street near South Gate of City Wall.
Shopping
Shopping in Xian is certainly no problem as the city abounds with shopping malls, super markets and stores. The four main streets around the Bell Tower, Dong Da Jie (East Street), Xi Da Jie (West Street), Nan Da Jie (South Street) and Bei Daj Jie (North Street) as well as Jiefang Road and Xiaozhai are the most bustling shopping centers in the city. Souvenirs like the replicas of Terra Cotta Warriors, Trio-colored glazed potteries of the Tang Dynasty, ancient bronze wares, jade wares, porcelains, Qin Embroideries, silks, paper-cutting and var ious drawings are available. These goods can be bought in Shuyuanmen Street beside Forest of Stone Steles Museum, Xian Antique Market in Zhuque Avenue , Wenbaozhai in Yanta Road and Muslim Street behind Drum Tower.
Dining
The local food is also worth trying. The popular ones are Yang Rou Pao Mo (Crumbled Unleavened Bread Soaked in Mutton Stew), Rou Jia Mo (Buns with Meat), Dumpling Banquet and various noodles. To taste the local snacks, you can visit the night market of Nanshao Gate and Dongxin Street. Muslim Quarter near Bell Tower is a strong recommendation for great foods.
