Day 1: Arrival in Bali, Airport Pick-up to Nusa Dua Beach
Welcome to take this 10 days Bali holiday with us! Upon your arrival at the airport, your personal assistant and driver will greet you there and later escort you to check in at the hotel in Nusa Dua in about 30 minutes. For the rest of the day, you could have a good rest or go for a walk around the tropical gardens and private beach of the hotel.
► Recommendations for Early Arrival Nusa Dua Beach is to the east of your hotel, which is a clean and serene beach for a leisurely stroll to enjoy the coastal scenery of Bali. The nearby Tamarind Mediterranean Restaurant, which serves Western cuisine and Asian food, could be a good choice for dinner. Enjoy some Balinese food and the amazing sea view from this featured bamboo architecture. The cost per person is about USD 15.
► SIM Card You may buy a local SIM card at the airport or a mobile network store in Bali. Generally, a card with 5 to 10 GB of data can meet your need of internet usage, which costs about IDR 10,000 to 50,000 (USD 1-3). As for the major operators, Telkomsel has the best network coverage in Indonesia, and XL Axiata provides more affordable options.
► Tipping It’s not customary to leave a tip in Indonesia. Usually, a 10 percent service charge is added to the bill when you dine at a restaurant, while street vendors do not add that. If you think the service or food is good, a tip will be appreciated as well.

Day 2: Nusa Dua to Uluwatu Sightseeing: Melasti Beach, Padang-Padang Beach, Uluwatu Temple
This morning, your private guide and driver will accompany you to first visit Melasti Beach, the southernmost beach of Bali. Framed by majestic cliffs, it is renowned for pristine fine beaches, crystal sea water, and the coastal road which stretches for several miles. Then, let’s go to Padang-Padang Beach, which is one of the most popular Instagrammable spots in Bali for being the setting of an American movie called Eat Pray Love. Shaded by large rock and cliffs, the beach offers breathtaking view and surfers’ favorite waves. Drink some coconut water and relax yourself on the beaches. Next, visit the Uluwatu Temple. Built of solid granite, it is an 11th-century Balinese Hindu temple perched atop the edge of a 70-meter-high (230 feet) sea cliff, notable for a remarkable vista of overlooking the beach and the Indian Ocean. Around dusk, we will enjoy a traditional Kecak fire dance at the temple performed against the fantastic view of the sunset. Originated from ancient sacrificial dance, the performance tells stories of the Indian epic Ramayana. It would be particularly striking when the performers dance with flames and sparkles. After that, you’ll be escorted back to the hotel.
► Tips: The temple is home to herds of macaque monkeys. Take good care of your sunglasses and camera from being snatched by some naughty monkeys. In addition, if you wear shorts or a skirt, the staff will provide you with a sarong to wrap around your waist during the visit.

Day 4: Nusa Dua - Gunung Kawi Temple - Tegalalang Rice Terraces - Kintamani - Ubud
Today, we will transfer to the town of Ubud, the cultural center of Bali. On the way, we’ll first visit the artisan villages and see varieties of traditional crafts. Next, tour around Luwak Civet Coffee Farm. Luwak coffee is perhaps one of the most distinctive and expensive coffees in the world. Local civet consumes the coffee berries, and when the beans are excreted, they have undergone a fermentation process that reduces acidity and bitterness, giving the coffee a rich and strong flavor. Witness the processing of the beans and have a taste of local coffee. Then pay a visit to Gunung Kawi Temple, an impressive temple complex hiding into the tranquil valley, dating back to the 11th century, with a few of royal funerary shrines carved into a 7-meter-tall (23 ft.) cliff. The 10 shrines are separated by Pakersian River, with intricate carvings inside. Beside the river there are also sacred springs for worshippers to purify themselves. Nowadays, Gunung Kawi Temple still plays an important role in Bali’s festivals and traditional activities.
Later, we’ll go to the Tegalalang Rice Terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage site. At an elevation of about 600 meters (1,968 ft.), the terraces stand out as a symbol of Bali’s farming culture. The neat paddy fields offer a pleasant landscape, and show the maximum use of the sunlight and rain water. Walk through the terraces, and enjoy the sunshine and refreshing air. If you encounter farmers working in the fields, maybe try chatting with them and know about their daily life. Then we’ll go to Kintamani Mountains and admire a splendid panorama of Mount Batur, a large and active volcano with a striking caldera lake. Minor eruptions occur sometimes on the volcano, with sulphur gases and ash spewed into the air. Around noon, our guide will help you find a nice restaurant at the edge of the valley where you could enjoy a pleasant self-paid lunch while overlooking the mesmerizing landscape. Finally, check into the hotel for a good rest. In the evening, we’ll prepare a romantic candlelight dinner for you and your beloved to spend an unforgettable night in the traditional Balinese ambience.

Day 7: Ubud - Ulun Danu Beratan Temple - Bali Handara Gate - Jatiluwih Rice Terraces - Seminyak
Your trip today will start with a visit to Ulun Danu Bratan Temple, a 17th-century temple with a 12-storey pagoda-like wooden shrine situated on the shore of the spacious Beratan Lake, looking like a floating temple when the water rises. It is also popular as the background image of 50,000 Indonesian rupiah note. The misty backdrop and the peaceful lake together give the temple a more sacred and peaceful look. Later, we will have a short stay at Bali Handara Gate, a classical Balinese gateway structure famous for being some of the Bali’s best known photo spots. You could take some dramatic photos here and admire the striking architecture.
Next, we will go to see Aling-Aling Waterfall, which is Bali’s only place where visitors can not only enjoy the scenery but also have an exciting cliff jump or waterfall slide. There are several waterfalls that vary in height from 30 meters (100 ft.) to a few meters. Jump off from the 5, 10 or 15-meter cliffs and have a great fun in the pool below the waterfall. Slide within the current and enjoy the rush into the pristine blue waters. Our next stop will be the massive Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. As the largest rice terrace in Bali, it offers a magnificent view of endless paddy fields with busy farmers. Compared with the more popular Tegalalang Rice Terraces with various photo spots and jungle swings, Jatiluwih is less crowded, offering a wider view and allowing you to relax in the pure natural beauty without being disturbed. For either nature lovers or shutterbugs, Jatiluwih is a real paradise with only enjoyable green in sight and the whisper of the wind. Remember to wear non-slip walking shoes in case the fields are slippery. Finally, we will send you to check in at the villa at Seminyak, an upscale beach resort area.
