Birla Mandir, Delhi
Laxminarayan Temple, also called Birla Mandir is located 2 km west to the center of New Delhi, Connaught Square and is easily accessible. The temple is dedicated to the goddess of wealth Laxmi, and her husband, the protecter of God Narayan. It is full of colorful idol statures and decorations, and often plays a rhythmic Indian music.
Structure of Birla Mandir
Birla Mandir has a long history, and presents a very unique Orissan architectural style with the appearance of red, white and yellow mainly. To the north of the three main halls is a temple dedicated to Narayan and his incarnation, the flute-playing Krishna. In addition, there are small shrines in theBirla Mandir, dedicated to the elephant god Ganesha, the monkey god Hanuman and so on. All the statues in this temple are carved out of white marble, and most of them look kindly, dressed in red robes with gold crowns.

Birla Mandir was built in 1622 and rebuilt by the Birla family in 1933-1939, so it is also known as the Birla Mandir.
