Shin-Osaka Station

Shin-Osaka Station is the primary and only station in Osaka Prefecture that serves Japan's fastest trains, known as Shinkansen or bullet trains. It connects travelers seamlessly to Japan’s major cities like Tokyo, Nagoya, and Hiroshima. 

With direct access via JR local and limited express trains, as well as the Midosuji Subway Line, it's also an ideal gateway to downtown Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe. Additionally, the station's extensive commercial areas offer a one-stop experience for enjoying Osaka's culinary treasures and shopping delights.

4th Floor: Platforms for Taking Shinkansen Trains

3rd Floor: Concourse for Ticketing, Transferring Trains & Services

The spacious concourse on the third floor is divided into two parts: the Shinkansen Concourse on the west and the Conventional Line Concourse on the east. Passengers can exit the conventional lines via the east ticket gate and the Shinkansen via the central or south gates. Both concourses feature green ticket windows for ticket purchases. Transfer gates in the middle are provided between the Shinkansen and conventional lines.

For convenient access, the concourse boasts four gates: North, West (stairs only), East, and Central (facing south). The Central Gate offers direct access to buses and taxis via elevators, while elevators are also available at the North and East Gates for passengers with large luggage.

On the west side of the concourse, the Travel Service Center SHIN-OSAKA provides a range of services in English, including assistance with JR Passes and reserved seating.

2nd Floor: For Transferring to Midosuji Subway Line

The Midosuji Line of Osaka Metro is located on the west side of Shin-Osaka Station. Passengers can easily access the subway station by taking the escalator on the second floor's west side. For direct access from outside, simply take the subway from No. 4 and 7 entrances without entering Shin-Osaka Station.

From here, within just 15 minutes, you can reach the bustling areas of Namba and Shinsaibashi. Popular attractions like Osaka Castle, Dotonbori, and Universal Studios Japan are all within a 30-minute ride.

1st Floor: For Boarding JR Trains or Taking Taxi & Bus

On this floor, passengers can board JR local and limited express trains (conventional lines) from the dedicated platforms to reach Osaka city center and major cities in Kansai, such as Kyoto, and Kobe. Specific platform numbers and corresponding JR lines are available for your reference:
