Shinsekai & Tsutenkaku
Shinsekai refers to the street on the west of Tennoji Temple. It is featured by countless skewer stores, like Yaekatsu, Kushikatsu Daruma, and Tengu. The high tower Tsutenkaku is the landmark of the area, which has an outdoor observation deck for visitors to overlook the surroundings.

1. Climb the Tsutenkaku to Appreciate the Street View
Tsutenkaku is a tower of about 108 meters (354 feet) high and modeled after the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The tower is divided into 7 floors: B1F, 2F, 3F, 3RF, 4F, 5F, and 5RF and hosts three different observation decks on 4F, 5F and 5RF. The fourth floor is the Observatory of Light, displaying delicate glassware and the lights here keep changing colors to create beautiful scenes. The fifth floor is the Golden Observation Deck and the whole deck is golden and you can watch the golden Billiken mascot. The top floor consists of an outdoor observation deck "Tembo Paradise" and a jumping observation deck "TIP THE TSUTENKAKU". You can enjoy the view of Osaka and feel the breeze there. Besides, the light of Tsutenkaku implies the weather of Osaka the following day. For instance, red light stands for the overcast sky, and blue light forecasts a rainy day.

Skewers are specialties of the Tsutenkaku and you will find a wide variety of skewers stores. 4. Appreciate a Show in Asahi Theater
Asahi Theater is an old drama theatre that can accommodate 300 people, and you can appreciate the great drama that is performed by the different troupes from Japan. A show usually lasts for about two hours. Daytime show begins at 12:00 and night show starts at 17:30. The entrance fee is generally about 2,300 yen.
