Day 1: Arrival in Bangkok, Airport Pick-up
Welcome to Thailand! Upon arrival, our guide will greet you in the arrival hall of your landing airport. You will then be escorted to the hotel in downtown Bangkok in a comfortable, air-conditioned car. With no traffic delays, we’ll get there in 30-40 minutes. On the way, our guide will provide a brief introduction to Thailand, offering you a glimpse into this vibrant country.

► Insider Tips:
1. Clothing: Please avoid wearing tight, see-through, or overly revealing clothes when visiting temples in Thailand. Take off your shoes before entering the main hall of a temple and ensure that your clothing covers your knees, shoulders, and stomach;
2. Currency: The Thai Baht (THB) is the official currency of Thailand (USD 1≈THB 30). Cash is the primary form of payment, although some major shopping malls and restaurants accept VISA and Master Cards. When entering Thailand, all foreign travelers are required to carry at least 20,000 baht in cash or the equivalent in foreign currencies. It’s advisable to bring US dollars or euros and exchange them in downtown Bangkok, with a more competitive rate;
3. Ride-hailing: Using the Grab app to hail a taxi will make your free exploration more convenient. It offers various options, including taxis, private cars, and motorcycles, helping you save time in congested Bangkok. Both VISA and cash payments are accepted. While hailing a street taxi may be cheaper than Grab, ask the driver to use the meter and have some Thai bahts in small bills ready. Another popular taxi-hailing app is Bolt, which has lower prices but longer waiting time.

► Free Time Suggestion:
If you still feel energetic after arrival, go and explore Bangkok by yourself! Consider visiting the Erawan Shrine with the well-known Four-faced Buddha. Appreciate its compassionate expression or watch a traditional Thai dance performance while you’re there. Do you prefer a lively night market? Head to the Khao San Road Night Market, where you can try local specialties like Banana Roti (flatbreads) and Fried Spring Rolls, with prices typically ranging from THB 30-60 (USD 1-2). Keep your backpack in front of you and stay alert while visiting these bustling areas.
