This morning we will first pay a visit to the Drepung Monastery, located on the western outskirts of Lhasa. Built on the hillside, the splendid and grand architectural complex gives every admirers a sense of reverence. The monks debating over the buddhist doctrines will impress you a great deal if you are lucky to come across them. After lunch, we will head for one of the greatest monastery of Gelugpa Sect in Tibetian - the magnificent sect Monastery. You can take in the whole view of beautiful Lasa by standing on the top of the monastery. Then we will go to the Norbulingka Park, which in Tibetan means “treasure park”. It serves as a summer palace for the Dalai Lamas in Tibet. Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Lunch

We will devote most of the morning to visiting the Potala Palace, the symbol of the Lhasa. It is the highest palace complex in the world. You will see the red and white palaces integrated together perfectly. Then we will come to the Tibet Museum. With its rich collection of treasures like various Buddha and Bodhisattva figures, handwritten Tibetan classics, musical instruments, potteries etc, we will experience the splendid history and culture of Tibet. After lunch we will explore a famous Tibetan Buddhist monastery - Jokhang Temple to feel the unqiue religious atmosphere and appreciate its culture. Then spend some time at the Barkhor Street, one of the devotional circumambulation surrounding the Jokhang Temple. Before returning back, we will take a glance at a Nunnery. Day 4: Lhasa - Gyangtse - Shigatse
After breakfast, we will head for Gyangtse, 230 kilometers (143 miles) away from Lhasa. We will pass by Yamdrok Yumtso Lake (Swan Pool in Tebetan) and Karola Glacier en route. It is one of the sacred lakes in Tibet and possesses extraordinary scenery. The sparkling water under the sunlight make this pure and grand lake even more charming. As we move on, we will come face to face with the gigantic Karola Glacier. The blue sky and white clouds hightlight the magnificient beauty of this glacier. When we finally arrive at Gyangtse, we will first visit the Palkhor Monastery, a typical Tibetan Buddhist temple with grand palaces and towers. After that we will stroll at the Gyangtse Old Street to observe the life of the locals. Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Lunch

This morning we will visit the Tashilunpo Monastery, the biggest temple in the Shigatse region. For the past 500 years, it attracts numerous devout Tibetan Buddhists. In this temple, we will also view the largest indoor copper-cast Maitreya statue in the world. Next, we will continue our trip to visit the New Palace of Panchen. The rich historical relics and precious artcrafts inside will enlighten you with a better knowledge of the history of Tibet. We will drive to Dingri next. En route, we will pass by the Sakya Monastery, which possesses numerous priceless treasures, especially the mural paintings from the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368). We will then proceed to visit Lhatse County, where upon arriving at Dingri, we will have a good rest at a noted restaurant. Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Lunch

Day 6: Dingri - Everest Base Camp - Shigatse
Today we will start with a visit to the Everest Base Camp. Being one of the best viewing platform of the Everest, it attracts a great number of mountaineers annually. They will commence their adventure from April to June, climbing and conquering the world’s highest peak. After a short stay, we will go to the Rongbuk Monastery, the highest temple in the world, to catch the best scenery of the Everest. Meals: Buffet breakfast, Lunch

We will return to Lhasa from the Shigatse today. On the way back, we will enjoy the beautiful scenery of grand mountains, dotted with small villages, and crystal rivers under blue sky. We will make a quick stopover for photo session and if time permits, we may visit a local family to learn more about the life style and customs of the locals. Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Lunch
