Hoi An arguably has near-perfect weather in February: mild temperatures, the lowest rainfall all year round, and plenty of bright sunshine. Its only drawback is relatively strong UV radiation. All in all, it is the best time to visit Hoi An.

Nighttime lows hold roughly 21 - 24℃ (70 - 75℉), so you may feel a slight chill if you go out in just a short-sleeved T‑shirt in the early morning or evening. Therefore, if you plan to go boating on the Thu Bon River and release flower lanterns at night, it’s recommended to bring a light jacket to avoid catching a cold.

You can join local Chinese descendants in incense offering and prayer, view century-old ritual relics up close, appreciate exquisite wood carvings, check in with red lanterns and couplets in the courtyards, and immerse yourself in the traditional New Year customs.

Ancient Temples in the Old Town: Phap Bao Temple, Quan Cong Temple and other ancient temples in Hoi An hold New Year blessing ceremonies and lantern lighting rituals during the Tet.
