Hoi An Weather in February
Hoi An arguably has near-perfect weather in February: mild temperatures, the lowest rainfall all year round, and plenty of bright sunshine. Its only drawback is relatively strong UV radiation. All in all, it is the best time to visit Hoi An.Temperature
February in Hoi An features perfectly comfortable temperatures: warm by day and pleasantly fresh in the mornings and evenings.Daytime highs usually hover around 25 - 27 degrees Celsius (77 - 81 degrees Fahrenheit); strolling along An Bang Beach at noon, you’ll be wrapped in soft, warm sunshine without breaking a heavy sweat. Occasionally the temperature may climb to around 29 - 30℃ (84 - 86℉); wandering the ancient town then may bring a light perspiration, but you’ll never feel too hot to keep exploring.
Nighttime lows hold roughly 21 - 24℃ (70 - 75℉), so you may feel a slight chill if you go out in just a short-sleeved T‑shirt in the early morning or evening. Therefore, if you plan to go boating on the Thu Bon River and release flower lanterns at night, it’s recommended to bring a light jacket to avoid catching a cold.
Precipitation
February brings scarce rainfall to Hoi An, with an average monthly precipitation of just 32 mm and around 7 rainy days in total. This means the possibility of encountering rain during your trip is extremely low. Even if the forecast calls for rain, you will often find barely any rain when you arrive. What’s more, most rain falls at night and will not disrupt your daytime plans at all. In addition, the rain is mostly short-lived showers that usually stop within an hour. If it does rain, you can take a break or visit indoor sites like Quang Trieu Assembly Hall, and resume your outdoor sightseeing in no time.Daylight / Sunshine Duration
Hoi An sees sunrise at around 6:12 and sunset at 17:50 in February, with about 11.5 hours of daylight each day. Although this is less than half a day, rare rainfall allows you to make the most of your full daytime. What’s more pleasant, the town enjoys an average of 7 hours of sunshine per day, so you can bathe in warm sunlight for most of the day. Such climate condition is perfect for photographing the ancient town’s bright yellow buildings, producing vivid and clear pictures; it is also ideal for rowing on the Thu Bon River, enjoying the sparkling waterscape.Packing List for Visiting Hoi An in February 2027
Clothes: We recommend mainly packing shirts, long‑sleeved T‑shirts and lightweight hoodies. Early mornings and evenings by the beach can be breezy, and rainy days bring a noticeable chill, so a light jacket or thin knit cardigan should come in handy. When temperature climbs at noon, light pieces like short‑sleeved T‑shirts and maxi dresses are ideal. For bottoms, prepare jeans or casual trousers.Shoes: If you plan to wander the ancient town for a long time, supportive sneakers, casual shoes or hiking shoes are recommended. If you want to paddle in the water at the beach, prepare a pair of beach shoes, sandals or flip-flops.

Tips
1. Tet is the peak tourist season in Hoi An throughout the year. It is recommended that you book flights and hotels 1 to 2 months in advance to avoid sell-outs or sharp price increases close to the travel dates. During the festival, prices of various local services rise by 30% to 50% compared with usual days, so please make sufficient budget preparations before your trip.
2. From Lunar New Year’s Eve to the third day of the Lunar New Year, namely February 5 to 8 2027, most local small eateries and market stalls in the old town will be closed, with only major restaurants and hotel dining outlets remaining open. We recommend preparing snacks and light meals in advance and prioritizing pre-booked dining venues to avoid last-minute difficulty finding food.
3. The exact schedules for events such as the Tet parade, fireworks display, lantern festival and temple ceremonies are usually announced about 1 month before the festival. We recommend reconfirming the times and locations one week before your departure. For popular viewing spots, please arrive two hours early to secure a good position and ensure an optimal viewing experience.
