Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Welcome to Beijing! After you have passed through customs at the airport, you will see our guide in the arrival hall. Then your guide will accompany you to the hotel and help you check in it as soon as possible. Have a good rest after the long trip to China.

At the beginning of the tour, we will go to Tiananmen Square, where the founding ceremony of People’s Republic of China was held. Then we will walk to Forbidden City, the biggest ancient palace complex in the world. We will spend most of the morning to appreciate the grand palaces and learn about the life of past imperial families. About noon, we will lead you to a well-known restaurant to enjoy a fine a la carte welcome lunch with special local dishes. Then we will continue our journey to the Temple of Heaven. It used to be the royal ritual site where the annual ceremonies were held to worship the gods of the heaven and pray for a good harvest year. Day 3: Mutianyu Great Wall
Please have a big breakfast at your hotel and bring some food with you, because this morning we are going to the outskirts of Beijing to see Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the most renowned sections of the Great Wall. To make your trip more fun and enjoyable, we will also arrange a round-trip cable car for you to reach the wall. Once we ascend the wall, you can see how splendid it is and admire the enchanting natural scenery around it. On the way back downtown in the city, we will drive by the Bird’s Nest and stop for a while to leave you time to take some nice photos there. After breakfast, we will take a leisurely walk and take in some fresh air at the Summer Palace. Near the mountain and by the river, this royal garden is the epitome of Chinese classical gardens. Afterwards, we will proceed to Beijing Hutong and savor the atmosphere by taking an old-fashioned rickshaw through these old alleys and dwellings. Then we will send you to board the high-speed train for the 4.5-hour journey to Xi’an. Your Xi’an guide will greet you at the train station and later transfer you to your hotel. Here comes another highlight, the Terracotta Army. Buried underground for nearly 2,200 years, this large-scale funereal relic of life-sized terracotta warriors, horses and bronze chariots amazed the world with its majestic momentum and rich artistic image. When you look close, you will find that each warrior possesses a different appearance and manner. After that, we will go to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. It is a masterpiece of Chinese early Buddhist architecture, which witnessed the introduction and localization of Buddhism in China. Then we visit Shaanxi History Museum to appreciate the history of ancient Chinese civilization. Meals: Western buffet breakfast

Day 6: Xi'an - Zhangjiajie
In the morning, we will go sightseeing on the Xi’an City Wall. It is the largest ancient city wall in China and one of the most famous symbols of Xi’an. Walking on the wall, you can feel its deep historical atmosphere of it and imagine how people in ancient times used it to defend the city. Then we will visit a local family. Spend a nice time chatting and enjoying a delicious lunch cooked by them. After a short rest, we will go to the Great Mosque, an ancient Islamic temple with the appearance of Chinese traditional architecture. Later, we will take a walk in the nearby Muslim Quarter. We suggest you try some snacks there and bargain with the vendors if you buy souvenirs. After that, we will send you to the airport to catch the flight to Zhangjiajie. On arrival, you will see our local guide waiting for you at the airport and help you with the transfer to your hotel. Have a good night’s rest before starting your Zhangjiajie tour. Today we will spend the whole day visiting Zhangjiajie Scenic Area. To begin with, we will take the Bailong Elevator to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, famous for splendid peaks and valleys. Besides, it is worth noting that Bailong Elevator is the highest outdoor sightseeing elevator built alongside the vertical peak. Later we will go to Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve by a battery car. If weather permits, you will see the sea of clouds on the peak. After that, we will visit the Golden Whip Stream. The stream runs through Zhangjiejie Scenic Area from west to east with singing birds, tranquil canyons, amazing old trees, and carefree fish in the clear water. Then we will take a small train to visit Ten-mile Gallery. The rocks along the gallery are miraculous which look like human beings, birds and beasts etc. Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Lunch

On the second day, we will go to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, reputed as the museum of Zhangjiajie landscape for its beautiful peaks, caves, streams and waterfalls. There is a veil of mist over the streams throughout the year, making this canyon resemble a fairyland. Then we will set off for an adventure at the world’s highest and longest glass bridge over the canyon. The bridge is about 535 meters (585 yards) long and 280 meters (305 yards) high from the bottom of the canyon. Then we will go sightseeing at Baofeng Lake by a boat. Surrounded by steep peaks, the lake is tranquil and picturesque with a waterfall pouring into it and an ancient temple hiding in the mountains. Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Lunch

Day 9: Zhangjiajie - Shanghai
The last stop will be Tian Men Mountain. The world’s highest natural karst cave runs through the cliff of the mountain from south to north with mist all year round, looking like a portal to the heaven. At the end of the trip, our guide will send you to the airport before you fly to Shanghai. The local guide in Shanghai will see you at the airport arrival lobby and then transfer you to the hotel. After breakfast, we will pay a visit to Shanghai Museum. The ancient artworks collected there including exquisite china, bronze and jade wares, as well as calligraphies and paintings; all are well worth seeing. Then we will relax in the ancient private Yu Garden to appreciate its peaceful and elegant landscape. After the a la carte farewell lunch, we will stroll along the Bund area to learn more of the history and culture of Shanghai. The buildings here with their eclectic styles are classical and exotic. Then we board the Huangpu River cruise ship to enjoy the beautiful scenery on both banks. After that, we will visit a cultural street before heading back to the hotel. Day 11: Departure from Shanghai
