Why or Why Not Go to Lake Kawaguchi in June

The frequent rain makes June not a good time to come here, but it still has advantages as it is the shoulder season. This month, the rainy weather makes much fewer tourists come here. This way, you don’t need to line up for a long time to do the top programs like the Fuji Panoramic Ropeway and Kawaguchi Cruise. At the same time, you need a lower travel cost this month, especially in terms of hotels.

June’s high chance of rainfall seems unavoidable. Apart from checking the weather forecast in advance, we also suggest visiting more indoor attractions. In addition, although it is the rainy season, it usually doesn’t rain for a whole day. You can spend 2 – 3 days here and go to visit places on your travel list according to the weather.

How to Dress in Lake Kawaguchi in June

Lake Kawaguchi June Clothes
The light-weight, loose, and breathable summer clothes are the best choices to deal with Lake Kawaguchi weather in June.

Clothes:

For the upper, it is okay to wear a cotton T-shirt. But, after it rains, it may be a little cold, so take a thin coat to keep warm. It can also protect your skin when the sun is burning hot. For the lower, skirts, shorts, or summer thin long trousers can be chosen. In addition, for girls, they can substitute the above clothes with a dress.

Shoes:

You can choose from sandals, canvas shoes, and sneakers. On rainy days, sandals are a wiser choice as they are easier to dry. The common shoes made from cloth are easily wet in this month. The high humidity makes it hard for them to dry up quickly.

1. Sunglasses: The summer sun rays are very strong and harsh. You need to wear sunglasses for the health of your eyes;
2. Umbrella and raincoat;
3. Mosquito repellent: In the late afternoon and at night, mosquitoes swarm on the lakeside.
