1. Carnival in Cyprus

This is one of the oldest and most popular festivals in Cyprus and usually lasting for about ten days in February or March. During these days, various costume parties, parades, and celebrations take place throughout Cyprus. What’s more, there are a variety of competitive competitions and performances, such as mask balls, and street concerts, which make the festive busier. The biggest celebration of the Carnival is the Grand Carnival Parade held in Limassol on the last day. On that day, more than 100 different themed floats pass through the avenue. Besides, people sing and dance, celebrating the Carnival in the most pleasant way. 2. Nicosia

Nicosia is the capital of Cyprus and is an inland city. In summer, its maximum temperature can reach 37°C (98.6), while in March, the average temperature is 6-19°C (42.8-66.2℉), making it a more comfortable time to travel around. 

In Nicosia, you can choose to visit museums, castles, and churches to feel the historical atmosphere, or visit small villages to experience the local life. The climate of Cyprus in March is suitable for both enjoying sunshine on the beaches and visiting human landscapes. Therefore, Paphos is a perfect choice in March. In terms of the natural landscape, you can go to visit Petra tou Romio, the birthplace of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty in Greek mythologies. Blue sea, comfortable sunlight, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed here. In terms of the human landscape, Kato Paphos Archeological Park, a well-preserved site of ancient Roman city, can be visited. The best-known Tombs of the Kings also sits here.
