What is the Cyprus weather like?

Summers of Cyprus are hot and dry, lasting from mid-May to mid-October, while winters are warm and wet, lasting from December to February. Autumn and spring are short but mild and pleasant. Rains fall chiefly from November to March, reaching 294 mm and occupying about 81% of the annual rainfall. Cyprus is blessed with more than 300 days of sunshine per year, with six hours of sunshine a day even during the rainy winter months of December and January. In conclusion, Cyprus has a typical Mediterranean climate, and its climate is better and more pleasant than most other countries. Spring in Cyprus is relatively short. During spring, the daytime is pleasantly warm, while the temperature may drop slightly at night, so an additional coat or a thicker coat should be better put on if you want to go out in the evening. The highest temperature in this season can reach 32-35℃ (89.6-95℉), and the sea temperature is generally around 27℃ (80.6℉), which makes it even more pleasant to stay on the beach or swim in the sea. July and August are the peak tourist months in the coastal areas and various activities will be held for tourists, especially in Ayia Napa, Limassol and Paphos. But the prices of hotels, restaurants, and air tickets and the number of visitors will peak. If you prefer quieter and less-crowded visiting, you can go to the inland towns or mountain areas. With high elevation, these places have lower temperature than the coastal areas.
