Day 1: Rome arrival, Airport pick-up As soon as you arrive at Rome FCO International Airport, our chaperon will meet you on time and then accompany you to take a private car to Locanda della Quercia Calante, which is about 160km away from Rome. It spends about 2 hours on the way. Located in the heart of Umbria, Locanda della Quercia Calante is a resort farm surrounded by hills, renovated according to natural architectural principles. We will stay overnight here. It offers rooms without electromagnetic fields, local cuisine, swimming pools and yoga studios. Dinner will also be served at Locanda Farm House. Meals: Dinner at Locanda Accommodation: Locanda della Quercia Calante
Day 2: Day trip to Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio After breakfast, we will depart from Locanda at 9 am and drive to Orvieto, known as the world's first slow city. The city's pebble paths, medieval squares and churches are full of historical atmosphere. The town is not big, but there is a magnificent church with exquisite frescoes and Michelangelo's authentic works. After lunch, we will continue to Civita di Bagnoregio, one of the highlights of this trip. Located about 22km away from Orvieto, it is a medieval castle on the top of a hill, and it is connected to the outside world only by a narrow pedestrian bridge. From a distance, the cloud-filled castle is looming. The famous animation movie "Castle in the Sky" by Hayao Miyazaki is inspired by this. After the tour, we will return to Locanda della Quercia Calante at around 4:30pm. Day 3: Torre Alfina, Cooking class with wine tasting At 09:00 am, the driver will send you to another medieval castle: the majestic and impressive Castello di Torre Alfina. The condescending castle is like a lighthouse by the sea. After the visit, return to Locanda before lunch. At around 11:00am, take part in a cooking class and start preparing lunch ingredients and learn how to make Italian cuisine. The afternoon is free for you to arrange your own activities. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner at Locanda Accommodation: Locanda della Quercia Calante
Day 4: Private car transfer to Rome, Vatican Museum in the afternoon Vatican Museum Trip At 09:00 am, you will be transferred from the hotel to Rome and check in a hotel located in the city center before lunch. At 02:00 pm, go to the meeting point on your own and meet with your guide. Then, our itinerary will continue with one of the greatest museums in the world, the Vatican Museum, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a part of the Vatican City in 1984.
