 Recommendation Rate:

1. Admiring Autumn Leaves

From mid-November, Fukuoka’s maple leaves, ginkgo leaves, etc. change their colors, a must-see scenery at that time. Here are some recommended viewing spots of autumn leaves.

(1) Maizuru Park: There are both red leaves and yellow ginkgo leaves. The advantage of this spot is that there are fewer people, which is suitable for taking pictures. The park was built around the ruins of Fukuoka Castle, and from the observation deck of the ruins, you can overlook the autumn leaves in the park and the entire city.

(2) Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine: In the shrine, whether it’s next to the Japanese shrine architecture or near the ponds and bridges, you can see beautiful maple leaves. It’s perfect for admiring maples and taking photos.

(3) Momiji Hachimangu Shrine: It’s a famous spot to admire autumn leaves in Fukuoka City, where you can see many maple trees that are more than 200 years old. At the end of the month, the Autumn Foliage Festival will be held. In addition to the autumn leaves, the architecture here is also worth visiting.

Tip: When viewing the autumn leaves, many people choose to wear traditional Japanese kimonos to take pictures, and you are also recommended to have a try.
