3. Miyajidake Shrine

Miyajidake Shrine in Fukuoka is the headquarters of Miyajigatake Shrines throughout the country, which has a history of 1,600 years. It is famous for the “Path of Light”, as the magnificent sunset scene attracts many visitors. Around February 20 and October 20 every year, the lingering light of the setting sun shines on the straight pathway stretching from the shrine to the sea.
