Upper: Long-sleeved shirt plus hoodie or cardigan are basic and suitable for most daytime activities. Besides, you are recommended to pack both thick and thin outer wears like the wool coat and light jacket, which you need in different weather conditions.

Considering that you may spend a long time roaming through this city, better choose comfortable walking shoes.

2.    If you have already missed the cherry blossoms at Hirosaki Park, don’t worry, there’s another great spot for cherry blossom viewing near Iwakiyama Shrine. Although it’s a bit far from the city center, the long hours of daylight allow you to take extra time to enjoy the blossoms. Just remember to wear warm clothes, as it’s located in the mountain and the temperature can be much lower.

3.    Other spring delights includes diversified vibrant plants in the Hirosaki Castle Botanical Garden and fragrant apple flowers in the Hirosaki Apple Park, from which you can also see the beautiful snow cap on the Mount Iwaki.
