The ceremony includes moments of silence, flower offerings, and the release of doves of peace. In the evening, people float paper lanterns bearing wishes along the Motoyasu River. 2. Hiroshima Bon Dance

Around the time of the Obon Festival each year, crowds in yukata gather at Hiroshima Gate Park Plaza to dance the Hiroshima Bon Dance. This tradition honors ancestors and prays for peace. 3. Fireworks Festivals
