June Travel Guide – Where to Go & Tips
Tourism Rate:

June is the best month to go to Gobi Desert. Located between the People's Republic of China and Mongolia, it is the northernmost desert in the world. Gobi desert occupies nearly one third of Mongolia's territory and contains numerous treasures such as dinosaur fossils, magical glacier valleys, abandoned temples, and so on. People can see the wild animals, search for fossils, explore the desert on foot, ride camels or just come to feel the forbidding emptiness of the Gobi.

Terje, 80 kilometers east of Ulaanbaatar, is a nature reserve in the Kent Mountains. There are majestic mountains, dense forests, rushing rivers, and unique natural landscapes such as Sanyou Cave and Tortoise Stone. Here you can see wild donkeys, wild camels, snow leopards, wild sheep and gazelles, as well as a large number of wild plants. This is the famous dinosaur cemetery.  You can visit the national wildlife park in GurvanSaihan and the dinosaur cemetery in Flaming Cliffs, walk through the vast sand dunes and cross the desert on camels.  In addition, you can live in a Mongolian yurt and watch the original and pollution-free charming scenery along the bank of Terje River, and truly feel the feeling of returning to nature.

Since June is one of the best months to visit Mongolia, you can consider travelling there that month in 2025.
