What to Wear

Orkhon River is located in the north-central part of Mongolia and it is the longest river in Mongolia. It is one of the best place to go to in July. Orkhon Valley's name comes from Orkhon River. In 2004, Orkhon Valley was listed as a world heritage by UNESCO. It is also Mongolia's first world cultural heritage. The valley is dotted with pastures and the architectural sites are engraved with the history of the Mongols who have settled here since the 6th century A.D. There are several important historical sites along the river, such as KarAkorum, Nine-surname Kehan Stele, Mongolia Pagoda, Doytyn Balgas, Hudgiyn Denj and so on.

In 2025, this festival will be held from 11th July to 15th July. "Naadam" means entertainment or games in Mongolian.
