Kathmandu Valley
There are three main cities in Kathmandu Valley: Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and is famous for its majestic temples and Buddha statues. Located 14 kilometers (9 miles) east of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur is the birthplace of Nepalese medieval architecture and art. Brick red is the main color of this ancient city. The exquisite wood carvings, dense temples and masonry stupas represent its unique architectural style. People can visit Changu Narayan, which is listed as the World Culture Heritage.
Upper Mustang Trek
Upper Mustang Trek is one of a few trekking trails not influenced by the monsoon in June. Mustang is the last autonomous kingdom in Nepal that preserves the original Tibetan Buddhist culture and rich cultural heritages. It is also a high-altitude area, and you can see the magnificent plateau scenery.Tip: All visitors must have a government permission to enter this district.
