If you want to spend more time, you can buy extra mountain hike to the nearby Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain in advance. For a guided tour of Machu Picchu, the guide can only accompany clients around 2 hours according to the rule, after that, clients will enjoy leisure visits on their own.

Vaccinations for Hepatitis A & B are recommended when you travel to Peru. If your Peru tour package includes the jungle visit, the vaccination for Yellow Fever is also advised.
Is tap water safe to drink?
In Peru, it is not safe to drink the tap water. Bottled water is the best choice.

Please also use bottled water when brushing teeth. In some restaurants, ice sometimes is not made by bottled or boiled water, so when you want to add ice in your drinks, please ask your guide whether it is safe or not.
Do I need to tip for services received during my Peru tours?
Tipping is a common practice in Peru. For your reference, normally tip about 10% of your consumption amount at restaurants. At brand hotels, you may tip the housekeeping about USD1 per day, and tip the porters about USD1 to USD2 per time. When on a Peru tour, usually USD10 dollars per day to the guide and a half amount per day to the driver are suggested. Tipping by cash in Nuevo Sol is appreciated.
Are there mosquitos when visiting Amazon Jungle?
Yes, there are mosquitos, so you are advised to bring a strong mosquitoes repellent. It will be also helpful to prepare long sleeve t-shirts for Amazon Jungle tour.
Do I need to bring a converter or an adaptor for electricity?
In Peru, the supply voltage is 220V, 60HZ. If your appliance can not take 220V, you need to take a voltage converter.

As for plug, there are three plug types in Peru: two flat parallel pins, two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin, and two round pins. If your device can not match those plugs, you need to bring an adaptor also.
