Goa Weather in January
As in remaining India, January is an end of the winter season in Goa also. Goa weather in January is pretty warm and summer starts almost at the end of the month. Beaches
Agonda Beach (4.5/5 star) and Majorda Beach (5/5 star) are two must-visit beaches when you travel to Goa in January. Agonda beach has 3 km (1.9 mi) of golden sand beside clear and warm waters. Similarly, Majorda beach is the best place to enjoy sunbathing and swimming with the fabulous Goa weather in January. These beaches are open for all seasons and have facilities such as water sports, parasols, lifeguards, sun loungers as well as restaurants and bars.

Some festivals and events that could make your January Goa trip memorable.
1. Shanta Durga Jatrotsav: Shanta Durga Jatrotsav is a Hindu festival. In 2025, it lasts from 30th January till 5th February. During this 7-day grand event, a solid silver statue of the goddess Shanta Durga is carried from Fatorpa village to Cuncolim village.
2. Republic Day: In an entire India, 26th of January is celebrated as republic day every year. You can be part of this celebration anywhere in Goa.
Tip: Do not stick to popular beaches like Baga, Calangute, Vagator and Candolim as they are most heavily crowded, instead, exploring beaches like Kakolem, Galgibaga, Hollant etc. where there are very less crowd and one can have a relax and peaceful time.
