1. Central Serengeti
When the grass in Masai Mara in Kenya is no longer enough to sustain the huge numbers of herbivores, they would move back to Serengeti in Tanzania. And in November, they are on their way back. The exact timing of the animals’ return changes according to the rainfall. If you want to see it in 2025, please check the weather and get well-prepared in advance.
In the central Serengeti, the wild predators that inhabit here are getting ready for the return of their prey. It’s the most likely place to see a predator hunting or eating.
2. Ngorongoro National Reserve
After the rain, Ngorongoro volcanic basin is green and full of flowers in November. Ngorongoro is not only with rich topography, including the crater, grasslands, forests, lakes, hills and swamps, but also breeding abundant animal species like the “Big Five”, wildebeest, antelopes, hippos, zebras and hyenas. And you may find the wild African black rhinos wandering in the crater if you use a pair of binoculars. It is also home to the Masai people, who live in harmony with wildlife. You can pay a visit to them.
3. Zanzibar Island
In Tanzania, Zanzibar is a place you can’t miss. You can surf in Paje Beach, chase dolphins, go sunset sailing and take part in the full-moon party in Nungwi Beach. Furthermore, lying on the beach to enjoy the quiet moment is also marvelous. Beach hours aside, don’t forget to pay a visit to the Stone Town, which is a blend of native African, Arab and Indian features. You can also visit the Slave Museum; watch young people practicing street dancing at the Old Fort; and bargain for cute gadgets at souvenir shops. When the tide comes, go to the beach bridge to see children doing sunset jump.
