What to Bring to Visit Ulaanbaatar in August?

Upper body: T-shirts with sun protective coats or long-sleeve T-shirts are suitable for most daytime in August in Ulaanbaatar. Thicker coats like leather coats, jackets, hoodies and trench coats should also be prepared to deal with the large day-night temperature difference and possible temperature drops caused by heavy rainfall.

Lower body: It is most suggested to wear loose jeans and thin sweatpants. Shorts or summer dresses suit only in urban areas. Remember to change them into long trousers after sunset or when visiting grassland.

Shoes: Light and comfortable sneakers are the best choice for traveling both to grasslands and urban attractions. It would be better if they are waterproof so as to deal with the rainy days.
