It is a museum in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi. Celebrating their life, principles and their role in Bihar during Independence struggle of India. There are 11 such Gandhi Museums across the country. It is located in north west Gandhi Maidan in Patna. On the occasion of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a special program is organised by the administration and locals to pay tribute to Gandhi.
2. Maa Shitla Mandir, Agamkuan (4.5/5 stars)
It is a temple dedicated to Goddess Shitla, which is a beautiful temple accompanied by an ancient well named as ‘Agamkuan’. This well was built by great Mauryan Emperor Ashoka in 304-232 BCE. It was a part of Ashoka’s hell chambers. The well is circular in shape and lined with bricks for upper portion of about 13m (43 ft) and contains wooden rings in the remaining depth of 19m (62ft). This well is an archaeological site and makes it the best place to visit in amazing Patna weather in October.
