1. Gandhi Maidan and Statue of Mahatma Gandhi (4.2/5 stars)
The biggest Dussehra celebration is carried out at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. It is the treat to go there, watch and take part in celebration. Huge idols of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghnad are filled with firecrackers and after performing Pooja are set on fire. Ramleela (A traditional play based on Ramayana) is also performed at this event. There is a huge statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Gandhi Maidan. It is world’s tallest statue of Mahatma Gandhi that is made up of bronze. It is 72 ft (22m) high and shows Mahatma Gandhi standing affectionately and candidly with 2 children.
2. Bulandi Bagh (5/5 stars)
This is the most important place in Patna, an archaeological site of Patliputra (ancient name of Patna). It was unearthed by L. A. Waddell in 1895. Researchers have found many important evidences from Mauryan era such as wooden palisade, punch marked coins and terracotta figures here.
