Due to melting snow, the roads might be so muddy that your shoes become dirty easily, and even the car gets stuck possibly.

Tips for Dressing in April in Olgii

Upper body: Two layers of dressing is mostly recommended in Olgii in April. For the inner layer, you can choose from long-sleeved shirts, blouses, knit wear and hoodies. For outer layer, you are suggested to prepare coats of different thickness, such as woolen coats, padded leather coats, 3-in-1 windbreakers or thin down coats. 

Lower body: It is recommended to wear long johns with casual trousers like jeans and sweatpants. But if you are not used to them, a single layer of windproof jacket pants, fleece sweatpants or padded jeans with tight bottoms are good choices as well.

1. Though the general temperatures in urban area are not that low, mountain and lake areas remain quite cold. If you are going to visit Altai Tavan Bogd National Park or Tolbo Lake, be sure to prepare thicker clothes since the wind around those areas is stronger and temperature lower.

2. Because the land is bare without vegetation cover in April, dusty days might occur when strong winds hit Olgii. You had better bring protective masks and glasses to prevent the sand getting in your mouth and eyes. Also, prepare some medicine just in case since the dusty weather might trigger even aggravate respiratory diseases.
